A lot has been shifting in my life…I moved to New York (again) on January 10th with just enough money for an unlimited metro pass. I stayed with friends of friends on their couch for three weeks &in one week (January 17th) I interviewed with an amazing family… I am now their full time (50+ hours/week) nanny. On Monday, January 30th, I moved into a beautiful 1905 Victorian Mansion that is nestled in Ditmas Park/Prospect Park South. I am only a short bike ride from work and also Prospect Park!
I have been meeting &connecting with some of the most amazing people…in fact I have been so blessed to hear I have been inspiring others to make the big move to the city.
After 2011, honestly, I had no idea what I was doing with my life. I couldn’t get a job nor did I have a permanent address. I feel like I am in a dream. My life is so beautiful and I am so happy to share my happiness and good fortune to inspire others…(a new friend even told me to make a youtube video haha I would be so awkward!)
So, I wanted to share with you my new workspace. It is still a work in progress since I only have had these past two days to work on it, but I think it is coming along nicely! My roommate Soraya left this beautiful little desk and an industrial sewing machine in the room…so now I am seriously on cloud nine! Although I don’t know how to use a sewing machine…yet…
I cannot wait to update you, internet, with more photographs of my finished space (my room is big enough for a queen bed and a studio space…so awesome) and also the beautiful house I live in! There is space in the basement, as well, that I can use as a studio - most likely to make paper! Which I am probably going to do a small paper making workshop here in Brooklyn (in the basement haha). My room also has the only access (through my closet) to the Narnia room.
I am telling you, this place is magic.
ps. yes, I am watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
♡♡♡
