all I want is to be surrounded by inspiring and creative folks who only want the best for me too. I want to quit my restaurant job and make art all the time and actually enjoy life. sometimes you focus so hard on doing what you have to do, when you finally realize you’ve forgotten you still exist it hits you the hardest.

no-nomenclature asked: Your embroidery is remarkable - it's inspired me to try it out :) I have a question though: For the pieces that have ink drawings as well as the threading etc. what kind of fabric/paper do you use? I'd imagine that regular sheets of paper would rip wicked easily with the needle.

All the paper I use is actually handmade by me! The current piece I am working on is recycled books, which I made into pulp then dyed with coffee. I have also made paper from cotton and bamboo. The better the material (cotton, bamboo, etc) the stronger the pulp/fibers which causes less ripping…but since it’s handmade it’s still pretty fragile…I rip a lot of pieces, but I somehow forge on haha. I love papermaking and I definitely suggest trying it out too! Hope this helps some!
