all I want is to be surrounded by inspiring and creative folks who only want the best for me too. I want to quit my restaurant job and make art all the time and actually enjoy life. sometimes you focus so hard on doing what you have to do, when you finally realize you’ve forgotten you still exist it hits you the hardest.

no-nomenclature asked: Your embroidery is remarkable - it's inspired me to try it out :) I have a question though: For the pieces that have ink drawings as well as the threading etc. what kind of fabric/paper do you use? I'd imagine that regular sheets of paper would rip wicked easily with the needle.

That is wonderful! =]

All the paper I use is actually handmade by me! The current piece I am working on is recycled books, which I made into pulp then dyed with coffee. I have also made paper from cotton and bamboo. The better the material (cotton, bamboo, etc) the stronger the pulp/fibers which causes less ripping…but since it’s handmade it’s still pretty fragile…I rip a lot of pieces, but I somehow forge on haha. I love papermaking and I definitely suggest trying it out too! Hope this helps some!

Good luck!

jennahbell asked: Good Evening, I came across your page after scrolling down my timeline and seeing a friend of mine post a picture of your work and now I am absolutely in love! Your art is absolutely magical. Have you ever/would you be open to working with musicians? Warmly, Jennah Bell.

Hi! Wow that is so nice =] =]

You know, I haven’t! I am really inspired by a lot of music (but who isn’t?) and that sounds like a fantastic idea. If you’d like, you’re more than welcome to email me at crane.anny@gmail.com, to maybe talk more about possible collaboration?

Thanks so much!
